So, I have a confession to make, when Tara set the World Photography Day task for this week’s Gallery I had loads of lovely ideas of what I would photograph for todays post, then life got in the way and so I suddenly realised yesterday that I had completely forgotten.
So I decided to delve into the camera role of my iPhone and see what I had actually taken photos of on Monday without thinking about the task in hand, here’s what I found…
Yep, that is my lunchagramming and as I was doing it, the words coming out of my friend’s mouth who I was lunching with were something along the lines of this…
Do you remember the days when we used to take photos of our lunch, go to Boots, get them developed and then go around to all our friends houses and show them what we’d had for lunch??? No, neither do I.
So actually I thought this was a pretty good record of World Photography Day after all, showing how much photography has changed since the dawn of digital, since we almost all walk around with a camera in our pocket or bag every day of the week, since we started lunchagramming and recording our almost every move.
Whilst there is something I miss about the feeling of suspense when you’re waiting for the film to be developed I think I love that now we capture more of the day-to-day, the things that didn’t warrant the film, the small things which make us smile, the things we can now share at the touch of a button, the lunchagrams even more.
